Haunted House Set

Purchase Date: March 4th, 2021
The wall stains, cracked floor, ripped wallpaper, and thick layer of dust makes this property look like it could be a set used in a haunted film. However, we believe that a little TLC and a lot of repairs can transform this house into someone's dream home.

Endless Blights

Purchase Date: September 26th, 2018
The previous owner bought this multi-family house knowing that it needed heavy repairs to make it rentable and profitable. However, the endless blight list from the city prevented them from moving forward with the repairs. Before they knew it, they had spent all the investment money in utilities and permits and had little money left to afford the mortgage payments, and so they lost the house to foreclosure. All of this could have been prevented if that the previous owner had reached out to us. We would have bought the house directly from them, and they could have recuperated some of the money they invested instead of losing it all and damaging their credit score.

What The Fire Left Behind

Purchased Date: February 19th, 2017
The fire is said to have started in the 2nd Fl living room area and spread to the kitchen area, or vice versa since those two rooms had the most damage. Despite the layer of ashes, the other rooms did not suffer structural damage since they were not damaged by fire but by the smoke and heat caused by it. When looking at what is left, most people would not show interest in the property, but we saw the fire damage gave us a wide range of options to start anew.

A Costly Legacy

Purchase Date: June 20th, 2017
When most people inherit a property, their first thought is that they must keep it since it was the late's owner legacy. However, inheriting a property when one is already a homeowner or live out of a town is a big responsibility. Inheriting a property creates a lot of stress, especially when there is a mortgage involved. Should they get rid of their home and move into the inherited house? Or Should they try to rent it out? But to whom? How can one afford double-utilities? Most heirs quickly learn that they sadly can't afford a second property. With this realization, they either sell the house or lose it to the bank. The previous homeowner sadly lost their mother's house to the bank.

After the Divorce

Purchased Date: June 14th, 2016
After a divorce and severe medical issues, the previous owner could not afford the house while taking care of herself and her three daughters all by herself. She had no other option than to sell her single-family house and move to a smaller apartment. We bought the house as-is and will take care of the cleanup, so this single mother does not have to add any more stress to her life.

Unwanted Inheritance

Purchased Date: August 21st, 2014
The previous owner inherited this outdated house from their mother. However, they already had their own place, and the house needed too many repairs to be rented out.

Washed Away by the Storm

Purchase Date: August 7th, 2014
House was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. The previous owner could not afford all the repairs to make it livable again.

Impossible Dream Home

Purchase Date: March 13th, 2013
House was purchased from a family who bought knowing it needed repairs. However, they could not keep up with the repairs to make the house their dream home.
